Augut 2017- From the Commander

My Fellow Comrades,

This month has been a very trying one. I call upon you all to take to heart the oath that we are all sworn too, "Don not let petty jealousies or personalities influence our deliberations". There have been changes made, and ther are changes that are coming, but any changes that you see have been discussed and voted on by the membership. If you don't like something, then attend the meetings and voice your objections, then vote your concsience, but accept the will of your Comrades if they differ from your own.

One of the changes made was the decision to make the Hall, Front Lobby, and Offices, Smoke Free! There was no change made in the status of the Canteen.

We have also lowered the price of Hall rental from $500/night to $250/night, this is an attempt to bring in revenue which we desperately need.

Lastly we wer forced to raise the price of 3.2 beer to $2.50/can due to an increase in our cost from the distributor.

So in closing let us all try to forget the differences of the past and try to move ahead in Comradeship for the good of our Post, Organization and for those that follow in our boot tracks.

"God Bless America"

Captain Ken Novotny, USN Ret.,

Commander 2017 - 2018

Did you know that Oklahoma has it's very own Vietnam Memorial Wall?

Woodring Airport in Enid is home this memorial. It was one of the orginal traveling walls and was purchased and is on permanent displa at the airport. A museum is also being establishe with it and should be open in a month or two. It is well worth the short ride or drive to visit.

The riders group took a ride to Enit to visit this memorial with a stop in Okarche for some Eischen's chicken.
